La Vita Italiana (the Italian way of life)

The Scalabrini Villages were established to provide culturally specific care to Italian migrants near to their communities in Sydney and Griffith. We welcome people from other cultural groups who apply to live in our villages.

Our residents enjoy surroundings designed to make them feel comfortable and secure. Our residents are always reminded of Italy, both in the indoor and outdoor designs of our facilities. We have created, for example, an indoor piazza at Drummoyne and an Italian-inspired village at Austral.

Language

Many of the staff at our villages are multi-lingual with a large number of them being fluent in Italian. Many of the staff members are fluent in Spanish and other community languages such as Filipino.

Buon appetito

Our residents enjoy fresh Italian cuisine for all their meals and, at several of our villages, get great pleasure from our recreational coffee clubs that seek to provide the best Italian coffee. Read More...
